The Agony of Restless Nights

Restlessness can grip you like a vice during the night. Every murmuration becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a menacing form. You toss and turn, your concerns multiplying, desperate for some elusive comfort. Sleep, once a gentle sanctuary, has become a distant fantasy. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity of suffering.

You long to evade this prison of your own body, to fall into the welcome embrace of slumber. Yet, sleep remains just out of reach, leaving you drained and exhausted as dawn appears.

We crave for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of isolation that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the resilient/unyielding spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

An Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Yearning for Sweet Oblivion

The clutch of oblivion was a siren's call, a whispered promise of escape. To drown in its depths was to silence the incessant chant of existence. The reality's sharp edges blurred under the influence of its calm.

To truly crave oblivion was to yearn for a passing respite from the weight of being.
